After several years of construction and testing, we have now completed our Group B turbo project. Started in 2018, a Porsche 930 Turbo 3.3 from 1980 served as the basis. An accident-free and rust-free body was the main requirement for this ambitious project. It was therefore possible not to strip the paint, so of course the galvanizing and the underbody protection were not touched from the factory, even if this must certainly be viewed as a compromise for weight reasons.
The entire technology was repaired to a considerable extent with new parts and replacement parts, so the engine was completely overhauled and given the original performance upgrade kit (WLS) available from the factory at that time, including: a larger intercooler, turbocharger, camshafts and a 4-pipe exhaust system and an additional oil cooler. The other drive train with chassis, gearbox, drive shafts, wheel bearings and the braking system were also revised. We installed a roll cage and a fire extinguishing system with Recaro sports seats and 4-point belts.
After extensive tuning work on the engine and chassis, we can proudly say that we have created a driving machine that is second to none.
With the professional team from Supertoyfilms, we were able to shoot on closed routes and a rented airfield a very emotional film. The film tells the story of Stefan and Matthias Nonn, who as children wetted the floor with oil in the workshop at that time (the film scenes were shot exactly there) in order to be able to drift better with the Kettcar. Afterwards the workshop had to be laboriously cleaned again with sawdust because the father didn't think it was that fun...
From 100-200 km/h in well under 10 seconds and with a top speed of 290 km/h, these values make you sit up and take notice.
If you have the courage to use the performance, you will be rewarded with a driving experience that simply falls by the wayside with new sports cars. However, inexperienced and intrepid drivers should stick to new sports cars, otherwise it could be dangerous. Good reflexes and good instincts are the prerequisites for having lasting fun in the Porsche Turbo.
In the meantime, Richard Lindhorst first reported very successfully about the vehicle in Elferspot magazine.
Afterwards, we had a wonderful article with great photos of our project in the “Porsche Driver” issue no. 06/2020 under the motto “Reloaded”. This vehicle has now also been given the name “Anton”.
In June 2020 we received a visit from Tobi Kämmerer with his HR television team. The team visited our hometown of Fritzlar and didn't miss the opportunity to do a report about our Turbogarage and especially about the Anton, we thought it was great! Here's the link, it's worth following.
By the way, it can also be found in the HR media library.
The customer's specifications are binding for us? our advice only serves as a guide.
Our Anton project therefore serves as a reference vehicle for us and is not offered for sale by us.
